There is mystery in the unseen. Stuff transpiring around us, encompassing our lives, that may be intangible. Unseen doesn’t mean nonexistent. It’s there. We just need to search deeper for the evidence. We can’t see wind, but we see evidence of wind when the leaves rustle and trees sway to and fro. We can’t see time, but we see evidence of time passing through the dawn and dusk of each new day. We can’t see our breath (other than during those frigid cold days) but our existence proves every breath exists.
What about Faith? Unseen but powerful. Evidence revealing faith is the peace of surviving daily while battling a debilitating disease, finding strength to provide for your family in the midst of relationship chaos or opening your heart to other families in crisis after losing a child. Faith is real. In the big and the mundane, evidence of Faith exists.
Foundation is required for Faith. My faith is steeped in my belief in God, in His Son, Jesus Christ, who put on skin to experience life as we know it. He who suffered, died and rose again so that we may have Eternal life. Faith. Belief in knowing that this world is temporary and only a training ground for what is to come. Faith. Belief in knowing that all things will fall to the wayside in that moment I meet my Savior. Faith, unseen but more powerful than any tangible object.
Where is your heart? Where does your faith come from? Much is determined by our upbringing or circumstances. Have you found peace? It is the evidence of Faith. If you are still seeking, perhaps now is the time to change your trajectory. Peace is attainable for you.
Want to know more about a faith journey? Seeking is the first step. Surrendering control and allowing the direction of your life to be determined by God’s promptings – His leadership, His gentle prodding. First step is acknowledging that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior by inviting Him into your heart and into your life. Instead of clinging to stuff, hold on to the one that invites you to a life everlasting.
