Life is filled with twists and turns, highs and lows, celebration and mourning.  We cope daily with the redirects, hoping for the best outcome.  If you’re anything like me, sometimes you feel inadequate to pivot without losing your balance.  Do you remember Weebles?  “Weebles wobble but they don’t fall down!”  We are all balancing acts, teetering to and fro in our day-to-day routines. What helps you stay balanced?  What keeps you from tipping too far?

For me, I find that seeking positive influences, guiding what my eyes see and my ears hear, can create a stable and even nourishing outcome. My news intake is limited to a few minutes each day, from a variety of sources to provide a broad, balanced overview. I minimize harsh noises, whether from music or programming and I seek out music that spurs happy rather than melancholy.  There are moments for mellow, but I am aware of my emotions and try to even the keel with things I can influence.  Looking outside myself rather than dwelling on what I feel is lacking in my life changes my perspective.  Unplugging from screens for a period each day can rejuvenate one’s heart and soul quickly.  I find peace in words, whether from a devotional, the Bible, a great story or empowering song.

My hope is that you’ll find positive embellishments for your life here.  I’ll share fresh perspectives on the mundane; bring encouragement for those moments you need just an extra boost and sneak in a smile or two while being real and transparent.  We’re all busy in our personal worlds so I’ll keep my thoughts brief – you can read them in a jiffy, then off you go, back to the duties that call you.  My prayer is the words will embellish your day with beauty and joy.  Let’s keep the Weebles from wobbling and definitely, no falling down!!
